Bhangarh, the very well-known Bhangarh fort is counted among the most haunted and imposing forts in Rajasthan. It is one of the best places for history buffs, experience seekers and photo fanatics. Settled between Alwar and Jaipur, Bhangarh is one of the most popular pre-historic sites boasting of several Hindu temples (temples of Gopinath, Shiva and Ganesha), great havelis, a mosque and a palace.

Bhangarh fort is a 17th century fort built by King Madho Singh. From the top of the fort you can adore the vast expanse of the surrounding area. Getting inside the fort, you get to see numerous temples dedicated to Hanuman, Gopinath, Ganesha, Mangla Devi and Shiva.
Further, there are residences of priests which now lie in ruins. There are four major gates Lahori Gate, Ajmeri Gate, Phulbari Gate and Delhi Gate. On the back, there is a Muslim tomb too.

The iconic buildings and remnants of the fort attract huge number of Indian as well as International travelers from all parts of the world. The enchanting greenery and the serene environment of the place would simply leave you amazed. The Archaeological Survey of India has prohibited the entry in the fort between sunset and sunrise.
