Day 1 Delhi – Leh
After arriving at the Kushok Bakula Airport of Leh, meet our tour representative who helps you with an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Once you complete the check-in formalities at the hotel, you are free to spend the day as per your own interest. As Ladakh is located at a high altitude, you take some time to get acclimatized. In the evening, you can enjoy a leisure walk up to the local market of Leh. Post dinner, overnight stay.
Day 2 Leh
On day 2, have an early morning breakfast and begin driving towards the west side of Leh for exploring the beautiful Alchi Monastery. Popular as a Buddhist learning center, the complex of this monastery houses some extremely mesmerizing miniature paintings, dating back to 990 AD. The next visit is to the Magnetic Hill- the famed gravity defying hill on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar national highway at an altitude of 11000 ft above the sea level and then to the confluence of rivers Indus and Zanskar. Later in the day while returning, visit the Military Hall of Fame-built and managed by the Indian Army, this is a museum that was erected in the memory of soldiers who died in the Indo-Pak wars. Overnight stay.
Day 3 Leh – Tsomoriri Lake
Post an early morning breakfast, start driving along the river Indus, right into the Rupshu Valley to visit the enchanting Tsomoriri Lake. Around 220 km from Leh, this lake lies at an altitude of 4200 meters above the sea level. On the way to the lake, halt at the Chumathang Hot Springs before crossing the Mahe Bridge. This road is a beautiful one and you might also sight Himalayan marmots. You arrive at the Lake late afternoon. After arriving, make yourself comfortable in the tented camps, by the banks of the Lake. Afterwards, visit that area of the lake- a designated Ramsar wetland sanctuaries, famous as the breeding and nestling grounds of migratory birds. Stay overnight in camps.
Day 4 Tsomoriri Lake – Tsokar Lake – Stok
Have an early morning breakfast on day 4 while admiring the scenic beauty spread all around. After breakfast, start driving to the Tsokar Lake. En-route, halt at the Puga Geo-thermal Gas Springs and later at the Nomadic Rebo tents at Polo- Kongka Pass. Once you cross the pass, you arrive at the Tsokar Lake. Treat your eyes to the nature’s beauty while getting yourself clicked. There is a monastery nearby in Thukje village, if you wish you can visit it. As you reach Manali highway, you cross the Tanglangla Pass, lying at an altitude of 5350 meters above the sea level. You arrive at Stok in the evening. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 Stok – Nubra Valley
On the 5th day of the tour, post an early morning breakfast, start driving to Nubra valley through Khardungla Pass, lying at an above sea level of 18360 feet. Khardung-La is known for being the highest motorable road. Arrive at Nubra Valley around afternoon. Check-in at your camp/hotel. You can rest here for some time. Later, visit the mesmerizing the white Sand Dunes of the valley where you also see the double humped camels. The next visit is to the Diskit Monastery-the largest Gompa in Nubra, belonging to the Gelupa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The last visit is to the Maitreya Buddha statue, around 100 feet tall. Back to the camp/hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6 Nubra – Thiksey
Post breakfast, visit the Samstanling Monastery – headed by Rizong Sras Rinpoche, it belongs to the Rizong. After exploring this beautiful monastery, begin driving back to Leh. On the way, relish hot lunch. You reach Leh, later afternoon. Check-in at your hotel. The rest of the evening is free. You can shop for souvenirs at the local Leh market. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 Thiksey - Pangong Lake
On day 7, have your breakfast and begin driving to the Pangong lake or Pangong Tso, around 135 km from Leh. The beauty surrounding this endorheic lake is mesmerizing. En-route, you cross Changla Pass that lies at an altitude of 17500 feet above the sea level. During this drive, you also pass villages of Durbuk and Tangtse. You reach the banks of the lake by afternoon. Make yourself comfortable in the tented camps. Later, partake in a leisure walk and marvel at the natural scenery. The evening is scheduled for visiting the nomadic villages, located nearby. Overnight in camps.
Day 8 Pangong – Leh
If you wish to witness the real beauty of the Pangong Lake, get up early. The lake and the surrounding mountains look amazing when the sun rays fall on them. After relishing hot breakfast, begin driving back to Leh where you reach by afternoon. After you settle in your pre-booked hotel, you are free to spend the day as per your liking. You can interact with the locals, can visit the market, can explore the area on your own and so on. Stay overnight.
Day 9 Leh – Delhi (By air)
On the last day of the tour, after breakfast, get an assisted transferred to the Kushok Bakula Airport to board your flight for Delhi.
